eClerx, a global business process management, automation, and analytics services company, has partnered with the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management to offer a certification program in Robotic Process Automation (RPA) for its employees worldwide.
As RPA remains a critical skill in the IT and BPM sectors, this initiative aligns with eClerx’s strategic focus on building niche capabilities to support digital transformation, intelligent operations, and process innovation. The program is part of eClerx’s enterprise-wide “Skill of the Year” initiative, launched in 2020, which prioritizes workforce upskilling in emerging technologies.
Focus on RPA for 2023
In 2020, eClerx partnered with the University of Miami’s Institute for Data Science and Computing to certify over 500 employees in Data Visualization and Storytelling, achieving significant success. This year, the focus shifts to RPA as the chosen skill, equipping employees to identify automation opportunities and lead RPA project development, implementation, and management.
“We continue to invest in and upskill our workforce on RPA and other trending technologies, as we witness high demand and business growth in these areas,” said Amir Bharwani, Head of HR, eClerx. “We have collaborated with the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management, a top-notch research university at the forefront of modern academia, to upskill 2,500+ employees in RPA. Armed with this certification program, our employees will be able to advance their learning, tap into internal career opportunities, and utilize this knowledge to deliver their best for our clients.”
Supporting Workforce Adaptation
The Rotman School of Management emphasizes its commitment to equipping professionals for technological change, with Executive Director Stephanie Hodnett highlighting the broader labor market shift.
“Rapid technological change is causing one of the largest shifts in the labor market worldwide in history,” Hodnett said. “We admire the initiative eClerx has taken to ensure its employees are well equipped to support their clients as this shift takes place. Home to world-leading researchers on the topics of machine learning and digital transformation, the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto is proud to support this key initiative by eClerx.”

eClerx’s focus on RPA training reflects its dedication to driving innovation through a skilled workforce.
